North Cyprus Turkcell celebrated its deep commitment to environmental responsibility with a heartwarming event dedicated to sea turtles, a cause it has supported for many years. In partnership with the North Cyprus Turtles Protection Association (SPOT), the company organized a memorable day where newly hatched sea turtles were gently released into the crystal-clear Mediterranean waters.
Marking Turkcell’s 25th anniversary on the island, this special occasion took place at Alagadi 2 Beach, showcasing the company’s long-standing collaboration with SPOT. The event gathered children from the SOS Children’s Village Association, North Cyprus Turkcell employees, and their families, all of whom had the joy of watching the baby turtles embark on their first journey into the ocean.
The ceremony was further elevated by the presence of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Culture, Youth, and Environment Fikri Ataoğlu, along with other prominent figures including Ministry officials, North Cyprus Turkcell General Manager Murat Küçüközdemir, and SPOT Board Members Damla Beton and Robin Snape. The day kicked off with fun games for the children and continued with inspiring speeches, creating a truly unforgettable experience for all involved.
