Famagusta kicked off its annual fair on August 30 in the fortress city.
The event opened at 20:00 with a performance by the Famagusta Municipality Folk Dance Ensemble. Then, the audience was pleased with a fire-dance show, and at 21:00 began the opening concert with Ahmet Evan.
All subsequent concerts within the fair will start at 20:30. Famous artists such as Grup Frekans, Retro Instrumentalists, Cihan Tunceli Band, Sidara Karakuşa, Burju Arıkel, Grup Otantik and Grup Buğday will perform on stage.
The fair has been organized by the municipality and will continue until September 8.
The concerts at the fair will be free of charge and the funds raised from the stands will go to the Champion Angels Support Association.
