In North Cyprus, the pharmacy schedule has been updated and will be more convenient and adapted to the needs of the population. The new regime will be effective from September 16, 2024 and will last until September 21, 2025.
The document that establishes the new operating procedures for pharmacies for the coming year has officially entered into force and has been published in the Official Gazette. The move aims to improve services to the public in the regions of Nicosia, Famagusta, Girne, Güzelürt, Lefke, Iskele, Mesaria and Karpas, taking into account seasonal changes.
From September 16 to May 11, there will be a winter mode of operation, and from May 12 to September 21, 2025, there will be a summer mode of operation. During this period, pharmacies will operate with an updated schedule to provide better access to medical supplies and services.
For the convenience of residents, on-call pharmacies will be open from the time the others close until 08:00 the following morning, ensuring 24-hour availability of needed medications. On Saturdays from 13:30 and until 08:00 Monday will also be open only on duty pharmacies, which will facilitate access to medicines on weekends.
The new schedule aims to improve services and create a comfortable environment for all residents and visitors to North Cyprus.
