Minister of Public Works and Transport Erhan Arıklı said that the roads of Northern Cyprus will become visible to the whole world.
Arıklı and Fact Innovation and Technologies Ltd. Director Sadi Yolgechen signed a protocol according to which roads in the north of the island will be included in Google platforms.
According to information provided by the ministry, it is stated that through the protocol, the country’s main roads, divided roads and roads within district boundaries will be scanned using a special vehicle and camera and the resulting data will be published on Google platforms.
“This project will provide an opportunity to present the tourism and economic potential of our country to a wider audience. “By showcasing our nation’s roads through Google platforms, we will provide significant convenience to potential visitors and investors.”
Fact Innovation and Technologies Ltd. Director Sadi Yolgechen expressed his pride in the project and said: “Representing our country’s technological infrastructure around the world and being able to explore Northern Cyprus in more detail through digital maps is a source of great enthusiasm for our company.”
