President Ersin Tatar participated in the Ülker Lefkoşa Marathon organized by Lefkoşa Municipality (LTB).
According to information provided by the Presidential Administration, in his address to the press at the event, Tatar congratulated all those who contributed to the Lefkoşa Marathon, which has become a tradition.
Drawing attention to the significance of the marathon, the proceeds of which will be used for the treatment of “little heroes” undergoing therapy at the Children’s Oncology Unit, Tatar said that participation in such a wonderful outdoor organization contributes to social responsibility and solidarity.
The President emphasized the importance of sports and walking for a healthy lifestyle, noting the joy of opening new gyms across the country.
Tatar also revealed that walking paths are being created near the Presidential Residence in the Lefkoşa-Metechan neighborhood in an area of 400 donum on his initiative.
“With various sports areas and walking paths, Lefkosha will get a stunning place. We will leave a beautiful legacy for the future for a healthy lifestyle,” he added.
