The legendary footballer Ronaldinho has arrived in the TRNC on a visit. The two-time winner of the FIFA World’s Best Footballer title landed at Ercan Airport on Thursday evening. Ronaldinho visited Northern Cyprus to attend the International Summit Awards organized by Turkish media group Pars International. The event will take place at a hotel in Çatalköy.
Local media captured the world soccer star at the airport where he was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers. The 44-year-old Brazilian, who during his career became World Champion in 2002, Ballon d’Or winner in 2005 and two-time winner of the FIFA Footballer of the Year award in 2004 and 2005, continues to be one of the most recognizable figures in the world of sports.
