The Chancery of the consular section of the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Cyprus for a year of work in the north of the island has helped more than 15 thousand Russians. As reported in the Russian diplomatic mission in Nicosia, since its opening in August 2023, the office has received more than 15 thousand visitors.
Previously, consular services were provided in the difficult conditions of the buffer zone, which made access difficult for about 50 thousand Russians living in the north of the island. The opening of the chancery allowed to meet the growing demand for notary services, passports, citizenship and other documents. Russian Ambassador Murat Zyazikov noted the importance of such work, emphasizing the priority of taking care of the rights and needs of compatriots.
