Trees on the Champs-Elysees in Paris turned into sparkling diamonds. Christmas lights were solemnly lit here. The famous street was temporarily closed for cars.
A total of 400 trees were decorated with garlands. Now the lights shine the entire two-kilometer street from Place de la Concorde to Place de la Star, where the Arc de Triomphe rises.
Indian tourist:
“Gorgeous, beautiful. We come here for the second year in a row to admire the Christmas lights. It’s beautiful.”
Paris resident:
“It’s a must see. We are used to Paris allowing us to see the magnificent sights of an international level.”
Every year, French celebrities take part in the Christmas lights ceremony. Actors, fashion designers and directors have performed the magic act. This year the button was pressed by Tony Estanguet, President of the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games “Paris-2024”.
The garlands will be lit every night until midnight, and on Christmas and New Year’s Eve – until morning. The festive illumination will be removed after January 5.
