Short term rent in Northern Cyprus without any formalities. Short term rental in Cyprus is for a period of one week to several months. Some landlords offer daily rentals, but this type of rental is not very common in Northern Cyprus. Long term rental in Northern Cyprus.
It is quite easy to find and rent an apartment or house in Cyprus for spending a vacation or staying for a long time. Most of the apartments or villas available for living in summer and winter.The main part of the property rented with furniture or partially furnished. If an apartment or villa in Northern Cyprus is offered for rent unfurnished, then, usually, it is fully equipped with the kitchen and fitted wardrobes, and this rule is applied only for long-term rentals. Long-term apartments and houses in Cyprus are usually rented on the basis of an agreement for a period of one or two years with the possibility of extension, but not less than six months. For long-term leases, landlords usually require the tenant to pay the equivalent of two months of rent as a deposit and one month of rent in advance, the amount is paid at the time of signing the contract. The deposit is returned at the expiration of the contract. Unless the landlord holds part or all of the deposit to cover the damage that has been caused to the property. In addition, in the event that the tenant prematurely refuses to rent the property before arrival; the deposit left earlier is not returned. The tenant, as a rule, pays for utilities not included in the rental price: water, electricity, and heating, if any.

The highest prices for long-term rent in Nicosia and Kyrenia, slightly lower in Famagusta and the suburbs of Kyrenia: Lapta, Alsancak, Karsiyaka, Esentepe, Tatlisu, however, in many respects the cost depends on such indicators as sea view, proximity to the sea, number of bedrooms, availability of necessary infrastructure, pool, garden, quality of the proposed environment. Rental prices may be negotiable with the lessor or the leaseholder.
Before signing the rental agreement it is important to clarify: rental period, can it be extended, the amount of the deposit and under what conditions it is returned, whether the landlord can increase the rent, rent termination date and conditions, whether anyone else have access to the keys to the property, possibility of staying with animals, whether smoking is allowed indoors.
All details are entered into the contract. The tenant may insist that a formal contract establishing the agreement and the rights of the tenant should be prepared and signed in English (Turkish).
