The ancient Balmoral Castle in Scotland opened its doors to the public for the first time. Elizabeth II spent her summers here. Balmoral was one of the Queen’s favorite residences. She spent her last days in this castle. Now Charles III comes here in the summer. Balmoral was built in the mid-19th century. The castle became the summer residence of Prince Albert and Queen Victoria. The decor inside is simple. In essence, this is a country house. The castle was opened to the public for only a month and four days. Tickets cost £100. This is approximately 120 euros. All tickets sold out in two hours. 40 guests are received here per day. Guides say that Balmoral is a kind of window into the history of British monarchs. The castle contains several beautiful paintings, as well as many interesting valuable items. Guests from different countries come on excursions.
