President Ersin Tatar met with Turkish Cypriots living in New York at an event organized by entrepreneur Ayhan Hasan in Port Washington.
According to the Presidency, Tatar, speaking at the event, said: “Wherever they live, the hearts of Turkish Cypriots are beating for the TRNC.”
Tatar also said he had met with the UN secretary-general and outlined the position of the Turkish Cypriot side on Cyprus.
“Every year when I come to New York on the occasion of the UN General Assembly, I am proud to meet the Turkish Cypriots living here. I would like to thank Ayhan Hasan for organizing this meeting,” President Tatar said, adding that many Turkish Cypriots living in New York visit the TRNC at least once a year.
