The 23rd North Cyprus Olive Festival kicks off today in the picturesque village of Zeitenlik. It is one of the most important cultural events in the region, bringing together locals and tourists from all over the world. The festival will last five days, until October 6, and will offer a rich program for all ages.
Guests can expect a variety of events: sports competitions, performances of children’s groups, theatrical performances and an exciting mime show. One of the highlights of the holiday will be traditional folk dances, as well as concerts of local and foreign artists, which will create an atmosphere of joy and fun.
Special attention is paid to the fair, where visitors will be able to taste and buy the best olives of the island, as well as fresh olive oil produced by local farmers. For many festival participants, this fair is not only an opportunity to taste the products, but also a chance to support the traditional crafts of the region.
The festival will open with a ceremony at 19:00. In the evening there will be a dance show and concerts.
