The inauguration of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at the State Hospital in Famagusta took place. The ceremony was attended by the Prime Minister of the TRNC, Yunal Yustel, and the Minister of Health, Hakan Dinciurek. The event was an important step towards improving the region’s healthcare system.
The Health Minister expressed confidence that the new unit, established in partnership with the Eastern Mediterranean University, will contribute to the prosperity of the city and the entire country. In addition, the hospital has also received significant investments in the oncology, cardiology and other departments, signaling a major transformation in the medical field.
The minister emphasized that cooperation with the university will continue, including in the field of human resources development. Hakan Dinciurek expressed his gratitude to the university and wished the new department successful work for the health of the youngest patients.
These improvements coincide with the news of the construction of the Maras Medical Center in Famagusta, which is scheduled to be completed in 2025, indicating a major effort to modernize the health care system in Northern Cyprus.
