EGYPTIAN CARPENTER MAKES ART FROM WASTE

From a bust of himself and flower-shaped jewelry to model houses in glass bottles. Egyptian carpenter and artist Ahmed El Serafi creates a variety of works of art from scrap wood found in his carpentry workshop.

Since 2018, Ahmed began recycling materials such as wood, paper and glass to make statues, lamps and other artistic products.

He says he creates original handmade works of art that machines cannot make.

“I use wood scraps to create products that I have designed myself. I also come up with new designs using paper and create beautiful glass creations.”

Here the artist tried to depict himself. The bust stretches five meters in length.
