DIOR PRESENTED A NEW COLLECTION IN NEW YORK

French luxury brand Dior presented its new fall collection at the Brooklyn Museum in New York in front of a host of celebrities. Among them are Michelle Williams, Anya Taylor-Joy, Naomi Watts and Charlize Theron. Some came to the event with children.

The runway was designed by artist Claire Fontaine, known for her interactive and meaningful art.

Maria Grazia Chiuri’s latest collection is a tribute to New York, the city of freedom and the fusion of cultures. The designer drew inspiration from the striking symbols of two world fashion capitals – the Statue of Liberty and the Eiffel Tower. Her outfits represent the dialogue between the two cities.

In addition, Chiuri was inspired by the iconic actress Marlene Dietrich, known for her bold style. The spirit of Dietrich is woven into the collection in the form of English fabrics and masculine silhouettes.

The images used tweed of different densities, colors and qualities. Also, rough jackets are combined with wide trousers or pencil skirts below the knee.

Exquisite evening dresses made of satin, crushed velvet and crepe added softness to the collection.

In general, black and gray colors predominated in the outfits. The looks were complemented by shimmering fabrics, fringes and platform or wedge shoes.
