Unusual guests have gathered at the Shanghai Museum. Along with people, cats stroll through its halls. This event is held under the slogan “The Night of Meowing”. It is held within the framework of the exhibition devoted to Ancient Egypt. People and furry guests will see the exposition called “Secrets of Saqqara”.
In ancient Egypt, the goddess Bastet was honored. She protected the pharaoh and the sun god. She was often depicted as a woman with a cat’s head.
At the entrance to the museum it is necessary to show certificates that cats are healthy and vaccinated. In the halls, pets should be taken in a stroller or carried in a carrier. Veterinarians are on duty nearby, just in case. If a cat gets tired, it can be let out for a walk in a specially designated area.
The “Meow Night” event has been held six times. It was attended by 200 guests per evening.
