The new Aston Martin Vanquish will make its debut in Venice. It is the fastest and most powerful production car of the British brand and its flagship. The two-seat hypercar is powered by a gasoline powertrain. There will be neither hybrids nor electric versions. The name of the model means “to win”.
Marco Mattiacci, an Aston Martin employee, said:
“This is the most iconic car in our lineup. It’s a brand new flagship with a 12-cylinder engine with 830 horsepower, a two-seater and an amazing, fantastic design.”
The bi-turbo engine has a displacement of 5.2 liters. The sports car accelerates to a hundred in 3.3 seconds. The maximum speed is 345 kilometers per hour. The company will produce less than a thousand copies per year.
According to experts, for fans of powerful hypercars with a gasoline engine Vanquish will be a welcome purchase. In addition, the British associate the model with this name with James Bond. The first-generation Vanquish was Agent 007’s car in the movie Die Another Day.
With a starting price of £350,000, the supercar promises to be a rare sight on the road. It will be launched by the end of the year.
Meanwhile, Aston Martin is collaborating with Californian startup Lucid Motors. Together they are developing a range of electric cars that will be on sale in the next few years.
