A RESIDENT OF CHELYABINSK COLLECTED HUNDREDS OF LEGO SETS AND OPENED A MUSEUM

This combat spaceship from Star Wars is one of the most popular exhibits at the Lego museum in Chelyabinsk. It opened late last year and is already attracting many guests. There are 600 exhibits in total. Some models are exclusive. For example, the droid R2-D2 is made from a kit that is designed to build an excavator. The museum was opened by collector Konstantin Vasiliev. He started building Lego 12 years ago while teaching robotics. Most of the sets were bought at European and American auctions and online platforms. Some construction sets were donated by local residents. All parts on display are original and undamaged. For example, several identical designers were used for this truck. It took three years to collect. Vitaly Isaev helps assemble the models. He is also a Lego fan. It usually takes from three days to a month to assemble one exhibit. The museum is constantly being updated. The plans are to install a four-meter long model of the Titanic.
