London is enveloped in the splendor of shining lights

Christmas illumination has been lit up in London. An 18-meter tall Christmas tree stands in the square near the Covent Garden shopping center. It was grown in Great Britain. 30,000 bulbs sparkle among the branches.

The building itself is also decorated with garlands. And inside, giant bells are frozen under the ceiling, which seem to be about to ring. The shopping center is always crowded. Tourists are attracted by the luxury stores, fine dining restaurants and the handicraft market.

A giant peacock has taken up residence on the facade of this building in Mayfair. The installation belongs to Annabel’s, a private club. With its help, it collects food donations for poor children.

Nearby, above Bond Street, Chanel No. 5 perfume bottles float in the air, surrounded by sparkling lights. The design of the jewelry is quite appropriate. Luxury stores including Prada, Cartier, and the famous London department stores Liberty and Fortnum & Mason are located here.

Regent Street in the West End has special decorations, too. Here the atmosphere of magic is created by installations in the form of angels. The street runs from Waterloo Square to the junction with Cavendish Place and Mortimer Street. Its length is almost 1300 meters. The festive installation is called “The Spirit of Christmas”.

The London Eye Ferris wheel, illuminated with light bulbs, also fits into the glowing cityscape.

Holiday illumination in London will be switched on every evening until January 5 at least.
