Crocheter inspired by the sea and mushrooms

Crocheter inspired by the sea and mushrooms

Marianna Seiman, an artist from Estonia, crochets flowers, mushrooms and shells. The pieces are very realistic with fine details.

Marianne learned to crochet as a child. As she grew older, she mastered various crafts: felting, sewing and making jewelry from polymer clay.

But in the end, the woman returned to crochet. First she crocheted brooches, then mushrooms, sea creatures and flowers. “The flowers became larger, I started using wire in my work and went deeper into this theme,” Marianna said.

The artist’s work is very similar to amigurumi. This is the Japanese art of crocheting on needles or hooks small soft animals or objects endowed with the properties of living beings. Products of dense texture, seem soft to the touch, fanciful shape.

The artist conducts master classes and sells her work through her online store.
