Turkey’s Ministry of National Defense (MND) has announced a large-scale music program in honor of Republic Day, which will take place on October 29. Brass band concerts are scheduled in several cities in Turkey as well as in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC). In a ministry statement published on social media, citizens and visitors are invited to join these celebrations accompanied by a festive calendar.
The first musical gathering was held at Konak Square in Izmir, and the program will conclude on November 2 with a concert at 3 p.m. outside the Maritime Museum in Istanbul. In the TRNC, concerts will be held in Güzelürt, Lefka and Girne: the opening will take place on October 29 at 09:30 at Atatürk Square in Güzelürt, followed by the orchestra’s performance at Atatürk Square in Lefka at 11:30, and the final performance is scheduled at 15:00 in Girne.
