On October 16, a seminar was held at the conference hall of the Cyprus Turkish Chamber of Industry (KTSO) to mark World Food Day. The event, organized jointly with the Chamber of Food Engineers, focused on “Food Security – One Health” and “Innovative Approaches in Food Packaging”.
The seminar opened with speeches by Beste Oymen, Chairman of the Chamber of Food Engineers, Ercin Tekakpınar, Secretary General of KTSO, Ichim Çagıner Cavuklu, Chairman of the Women Entrepreneurs’ Development Cooperative, and Hüseyin Çavuş, Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources.
Two sessions were held during the event. Associate Professor Perihan Adun from Middle East University gave a presentation on food security, while Prof. Zehra Ayhan from Sakarya University spoke about innovations in food packaging. The workshop concluded with a question and answer session and a plaque awarding ceremony.
