More and more Western tourists are traveling to Tirana, the capital of Albania. Compared to last year, the flow increased by 40%. It’s the same throughout the country. People come here from Italy, Germany, France, Great Britain and the USA, and about a third of tourists are Italians. Albania attracts tourists with its beautiful beaches. Its shores are washed by two seas – the Ionian and Adriatic. There are beautiful lakes and picturesque mountain landscapes. Travelers enjoy the architectural sights and Albanian cuisine. In recent years, Tirana has been the center of international events more than once. It was chosen as the youth and then sports capital of Europe. Next year it will become the cultural capital of the Mediterranean countries. In 2022, 7.5 million foreign visitors visited Albania. In 2023 – more than ten million.
