The darkness of the evening streets of Copenhagen was pierced by rays of light. Hundreds of people decorated themselves with garlands and went for a run around the Danish capital.
The Festival of Lights started here in early February. There are dozens of glowing installations scattered throughout the city. And now the residents of Copenhagen themselves have become the hallmark of the holiday.
The race started at the Royal Danish Theatre. Its participants ran past the main attractions of the city and glowing installations. Distance – seven kilometers seven hundred meters.
Almost 1000 people took part in the race. A route of just over three kilometers has been prepared for runners with children.
The Festival of Lights will continue in Copenhagen until February 25th. It is taking place for the seventh year in a row.
